WPO - Transition of Presidency from Prof Pierre Pienaar to Luciana Pellegrino
A very important moment at WPO World Packaging Organisation Board Meeting was the transition of Presidency from Prof Pierre Pienaar to Luciana Pellegrino , from ABRE Associação Brasileira de Embalagem , the first woman to assume this position in the Organization.

"It is with great pride that today I take over the presidency of the WPO World Packaging Organisation, and together with Board Members from 65 different countries, take the organization to the next level, expanding its initiatives, enhancing its connection with packaging companies and brands and promoting collaboration with international organizations to strengthen packaging science, innovation, sustainability and technology and fostering packaging education.
I believe in WPO's potential for a greater impact for Better quality of Life, Thought better packaging, For more people' on a global level.
I am honored as well to be the first woman president of WPO within its 57 years, and I dedicate this moment to all great women in packaging, hoping to inspire many more to join us!
